Oren Richkin has been hired as a Project Manager for Providence Community Housing, a nonprofit real estate development corporation focused on the production and preservation of affordable housing for individuals, seniors, and families throughout Greater New Orleans and the Gulf South. He will work as part of the Real Estate Development team during all phases of project development including conceptual and early predevelopment, construction administration, and compliance. He will also be responsible for providing support in managing general contractors and consultant teams as well as coordinating with financial partners for Providence’s active development projects.
Prior to joining Providence, Oren managed portfolios of affordable, market rate, and commercial units in and around Boston, MA. While working as an affordable housing provider, he became aware of the housing affordability crisis both within his community and nationally. He is passionate about engaging with stakeholders to develop resilient, equitable, and sustainable communities.
Oren holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Dickinson College and a Masters of Sustainable Real Estate Development from Tulane University. He is certified as a LEED Green Associate.
