Charri serves as Senior Project Manager in Providence’s Real Estate Development department. In this position, Charri works on all development programs including portfolio rehabilitation and recapitalization, and strategic acquisition.
Charri’s experience includes working as the Urban Development Manager in Portland’s Urban Renewal Areas, with responsibility for a $107 million neighborhood revitalization program adding 263 units of affordable and workforce housing, along with business development and commercial corridor improvements, and implementing the Nort/Northeast Community Development Initiative directing $32 million in tax increment funds for equity-focused business development and retention. She also consulted for the Housing Development Center on developing and financing affordable housing and community facilities through LIHTC and NMTC programs.
Prior to her work in the Northwest, Charri directed multi-million-dollar portfolios at real estate development and project management corporations in the Western U.S. that included a 40-acre master planned mixed-use community and preservation of 1000 affordable senior and family housing units. She also has extensive knowledge of development in the public sector, managing commercial, residential, and infrastructure capital investment projects for redevelopment agencies and local governments in California.
Charri holds a master’s degree in public administration from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University and a bachelor’s in social welfare and public policy from the University of California, Berkeley.
