Kimberly Hollard Brechtel

Director of Resource Development & External Affairs

Kimberly oversees and manages Providence’s relationships with external stakeholders including investors, funders, community partners, media, and the general public. She is responsible for the planning and direction of Providence’s resource development and external affairs activities. She is also responsible for cultivating prospective funders and investors as well as developing new avenues for growth and revenue generation. Kimberly serves as the point of contact for community development partners; potential and existing community-based partnerships, and partner opportunities. She oversees and directs Providence’s resident services department, ensuring program continuity and consistency in service delivery focused on resident stability and quality of life across Providence’s portfolio.

Her prior experience encompasses both the giving and fundraising components within philanthropy, inclusive of 13 years in Houston, TX working for nonprofit organizations, as well as foundation, and corporate giving programs. Kimberly holds an MBA from Louisiana State University Shreveport and is a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She is a Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) through the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance at the University of Houston. A native New Orleanian, she was among the 2015 class of the Greater New Orleans Foundations’ Emerging Leaders program and served for four years on the executive board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) New Orleans Chapter. Kimberly is a member of NORLI’s Class of 2021.
