Providence Adds Rachel Bland to the Team

Rachel Bland has been hired as an Assistant Project Manager for Providence Community Housing, a nonprofit real estate development corporation focused on the production and preservation of affordable housing for individuals, seniors, and families throughout Greater New Orleans and the Gulf South. Rachel will work with the Real Estate Development team during all phases of project development including conceptual and early predevelopment, construction administration, and compliance. She will also be responsible for providing support in managing general contractors and consultant teams as well as coordinating with financial partners through for Providence’s active development projects.

Prior to joining the team at Providence, Rachel was at Project Homecoming where she served in the capacities of Program Manager, Construction Coordinator, and Work-Site Supervisor. She was also the Qualifying Party on the LA Residential Contractor’s License at Project Homecoming. Her background in construction management with experience obtaining and managing state and federal funding awards provides a solid fit for the organization while also bringing an additional perspective to our work. Her experience with Enterprise Green Communities Standards and Resource Development offer an added bonus to our team-based approach.

Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban and Regional Studies from Cornell University.
