Providence Community Housing, Columbia Residential and the Housing Authority of New Orleans (HANO) have partnered to create 103 affordable housing one-bedroom homes for seniors ages 62 and older. The development will incorporate an existing building on the property, which will be repurposed as the administrative headquarters and will serve as the primary entrance to the community. Additionally, the former Clio Street will be reconstructed and transferred to the City of New Orleans to improve neighborhood connectivity. The project is financed through Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, a $7.09 million award from the Louisiana Housing Corporation’s Prime 3 Program, a $4.06 million award from the City of New Orleans, 103 Project-Based Vouchers from HANO and a Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) from Finance New Orleans.
