Emily May
Director of Real Estate Development
Emily oversees Providence’s major housing projects including new construction, rehabilitation, and recapitalizations. She brings more than 20 years of construction industry experience including project administration on a range of project types including single-family housing, commercial buildings, municipal buildings, and public housing redevelopment. Her areas of expertise include project management, public/private partnerships, federal funding processes, short-term and long-term development plans, and environmental studies. Moreover, Emily has worked on funding applications, community engagement efforts, procurement of contracts, construction design, and construction activities, including vertical and infrastructure redevelopment of large, historic public housing developments in New Orleans.
Emily holds a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from University of New Orleans and a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Louisiana State University.
