Ryan Herringshaw
Chief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer, Ryan oversees strategic operations and technological initiatives and leads real estate development and acquisition activities. Ryan is responsible for directing Providence’s development pipeline which is comprised of over $200M in multifamily projects, adding to a $330M+ portfolio of over 1,650 units around the Greater New Orleans area. An urban redevelopment professional, Ryan specializes in real estate & community development, urban planning, and public policy. In addition to overseeing projects through all stages of development, Ryan is also engaged in recapitalizations and strategic acquisitions focused on preserving exiting affordable assets. Prior to joining the Providence team, Ryan oversaw several major projects in the Greater New Orleans area, including $2M in single & multi-family affordable housing and pre-development for over $25M of scattered-site infill affordable housing, commercial corridor, and philanthropic service-related projects utilizing multiple federal funding streams including NSP, HOME, and HOPE VI. Ryan holds a Professional Bachelor of Architecture from Louisiana State University and a Masters of Sustainable Real Estate Development from the School of Architecture at Tulane University. Ryan is a graduate of the NeighborWorks America Achieving Excellence program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and serves on the board of directors of the Louisiana Association of Affordable Housing Providers.
